The Cottages at Green Acres is a thoughtfully planned Eastside Athens neighborhood where timeless architecture,  welcoming porches and shared green spaces come together to create a more connected way of life.

Green Acres is being created around a simple idea: a neighborhood should offer more than a beautiful place to live. It should make it easier to step outside, connect with others and feel at home in the community around you.

The current plan brings together 28 cottage-style residences, welcoming front porches, walkable internal streets and two shared greens. Each element is intended to give the neighborhood a comfortable rhythm and a genuine sense of place.

The homes at Green Acres draw inspiration from the timeless residential character of Athens and the South. Familiar rooflines, balanced proportions, welcoming porches and carefully selected exterior details give every cottage an individual presence while allowing the neighborhood to feel cohesive.

Beyond the homes themselves, shared green spaces and pedestrian-friendly connections encourage residents to enjoy more of life outdoors. The result is a community designed to feel both private and connected—comfortable at home and inviting just beyond the front porch.
